“Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how
to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn something. They do not preach learning and precepts, they
preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient laws of life.” - Heradult ❤️ @ https://www.facebook.com/thewayofamystic/photos/a.1237949169648069.1073741829.1237781449664841/1337911729651812/?type=3&thea
All plants are Sacred to this Shaman and others as well; yet, the "system" tells us that we cannot use all of these things that are sacred to us in our Spiritual practices. My favorite scholar, Michael Tsarion, speaks on the war on consciousness that i will expand upon now.
My theory is that drugs which hinder our spiritual growth like alcohol, morphine, and psychotropes are passed out like candy while drugs that can help us evolve are hard to get. For instance, the police departments do put drugs like cocaine and speed on the streets to find out whose doing it, or so they say. Why don't they put helpful drugs other than pot on the streets??? This blog will function to point that out with some evidence to my theory. Some information was found on fb that is interesting.
"Ramses the Great & Psilocybe Cubensis
All mushrooms, especially psilocybin mushrooms, were strictly prohibited among the common people of ancient Egypt. The Hedjet crown indicated rulership by symbolizing the most sacred mushroom reserved for rulers and royalty."
"Could there possibly be a mushroom "god"? @ http://citedinfo.blogspot.com/2017/06/could-there-possibly-be-mushroom-god.html looks further into Ancient use of mushrooms in spiritual practices.
What's Up with the Opioid Epidemic???
The study, entitled The Opioid Epidemic: Fixing a Broken Pharmaceutical Market, describes how the American public have been "duped by the elites for more than 20 years" (Adl-Tabatabai, 2017, para.1).
"The American Society of Addiction of
Medicine estimates that over 2.5 million Americans now have an opioid use
disorder.3 In 2015, 33,092 Americans died from an opioid-related overdose—a
fourfold increase from 1999.4" (Sarpatwari, et.al.,n.d., p.463).

The opioid epidemic is just the example used at this time to demonstrate a dilemma in America. The focus of this blog is on a new study of psychedelic mushrooms that seems way more promising than the accepted antidepressants.
What Does New Research on Magic Mushrooms Tell Us???
BBC News reports that "a hallucinogen found in magic mushrooms can "reset" the brains of people with untreatable depression, raising hopes of a future treatment, scans suggest.

BBC News reports that "a hallucinogen found in magic mushrooms can "reset" the brains of people with untreatable depression, raising hopes of a future treatment, scans suggest.
The small study gave 19 patients a single dose of the psychedelic ingredient psilocybin.
Half of patients ceased to be depressed and experienced changes in their brain activity that lasted about five weeks.
However, the team at Imperial College London says people should not self-medicate.
There has been a series of small studies suggesting psilocybin could have a role in depression by acting as a 'lubricant for the mind' that allows people to escape a cycle of depressive symptoms." @ http://www.bbc.com/news/health-41608984
I have documented the troubles with anti-depressants and other psychotropes, as well as big pharma lobbying while i was in college, and i do have blogs taht cover this information. Unfortunately, my computer keeps bogging down so it's affecting my train of thought. I have also documented that MDMA assidted psychotherapy has and 80% sucess rate yet those studies were squashed for "unknown reasons". Ritalin given for ADHD when cannabis oil helps even more, and the list goes on and on.
Michael's theory of the war on consciousness does coincide with the drugging of people with harmful drugs that only help a portion of people while there are natural alternatives available.
